The DLR Method

Most coaches sell lessons. I sell a system. Four steps that take you from sounding like a textbook to sounding like you — in real conversations, with real people, in the real world.

01

Diagnose

I find your real gaps — not the gaps a textbook thinks you have. No level tests that put you in a box. Just a honest look at what's actually holding you back when you open your mouth.

  • Identify the 3-5 things blocking your fluency
  • Understand your speaking patterns
  • Pinpoint textbook habits you need to unlearn
02

Unblock

I fix those specific blocks — fast. No grammar drills for things you already know. No relearning the present simple. I target the exact phrases, sounds, and habits that make you sound robotic.

  • Fix the sounds that give you away
  • Kill the textbook phrases no native speaker uses
  • Build go-to responses for real situations
03

Reps

Real conversation practice — not fill-in-the-blanks. Role-plays that mirror your actual life: meetings, interviews, pub chats, phone calls. You do the reps, I give you live feedback that sticks.

  • Scenario-based role-plays (job, work, social)
  • Live correction without killing your flow
  • Build muscle memory for natural responses
04

Own It

You take it into the wild. By this point you're not studying English — you're using it. My job is to make sure you don't need me anymore. That's the whole point.

  • Use English in real situations with confidence
  • Self-correct without freezing
  • Keep improving without a coach hovering

Why this works when lessons don't

Traditional tutoring is open-ended: you show up, they ask what you want to do, you do some exercises, you leave. Repeat forever. The DLR Method is different — it has a beginning, a middle, and an end. You know exactly where you are, what's next, and when you're done needing me.

My goal is to make myself unnecessary.
